IJOLTL: Indonesian Journal of Language Teaching and Linguistics is a peer-reviewed journal that publishes research within the area of language teaching in general and linguistics. IJOLTL was firstly published in January 2016 (online: 2502-8278 & print: 2502-2326).  IJOLTL is a peer-review journal published quarterly in January, May and September with first online version in January 2015.  Please see the Guideline of the Authors. IJOLTL invites original manuscripts in the fields of language, language teaching, linguistics, and applied linguistics. Although articles are written in English, the IJOLTL welcomes studies dealing with the teaching of languages other than English as well. Research on culture of various perspectives as well as linguistics is also welcome.  In addition, IJOTL-TL also considers papers in the areas of applied linguistics, language testing, pragmatic, sociolinguistics and discourse analysis. Reviews of literature are also acceptable for the IJOLTL.  The length of paper should be between 3,500 to 8,000 words as defined in the author’s guidelines. A wide range of topics in the area of education and teaching in primary school, secondary school and higher educations is covered, including but not limited to:

  3. Language curriculum and pedagogy

  5. Language teaching methodology
  6. Language teaching materials and development
  7. Language instructional designs
  8. Literature, culture, and translation studies
  9. Linguistics studies
  10. Studies in pragmatics, discourse analysis, psycholinguistics and sociolinguistics

Papers submitted must be written in English in the length of 4,000 to 8,000 words including references for the original paper and between 3,500 to 5,000 words excluding references for the review paper.  The paper must not have been published or being considered for publication elsewhere, except circulated as conference presentations, nor should they be submitted simultaneously to another journal. IJOLTL can exceptionally accept shorter or longer manuscripts, provided that the scientific content is of high value.

Please ensure that your papers must be editable in the form of Microsoft word 2000/2003 (doc) or Microsoft word 2007/2010 (docx) using Times New Roman in a 12 point font.
